Today marks the official launch of our 2011 Young & Free Ontario Spokesperson search. The question that the Young & Free Ontario Team has for you is – can you fill Keith's shoes?

In his term as our first-ever spokester, Keith:

• Posted over 160 fun and interesting blog articles 
• Created a bucketload of informative and humourous videos 
• Connected with over 300 people on Twitter 
• Made almost 1,000 new Young & Free Ontario Facebook Page friends 

These are amazing accomplishments, but if you think those numbers are a drop in the bucket maybe you have what it takes to be our next Young & Free Ontario Spokesperson. In case you have a few questions, here are a few answers:

I've got what it takes, but tell me more about the job 

You'll create some amazing written and video content about what's important to the 25-and-under crowd in southwestern Ontario, especially when it comes to matters about money and finances. You'll connect with the same group on Twitter and Facebook, and wherever else they may meet online. You'll also meet them face-to-face at community events and other happenings. You'll also get to be the ambassador of the Go Free Bundle—the coolest free account with a load of sweet perks ONLY for the 25-and-under crowd in Ontario.

What would I get for being the Young & Free Ontario Spokesperson? 

Being the spokester is a full-time job. You'd receive a $30,000 salary and the use of an expense-free vehicle to get around. You'll get an iPhone, Macbook Pro and HD camera as the other tools of your trade. Plus, the computer and camera are yours to keep after your term is up! When would I start as the spokesperson? 

We expect your term to start late June, 2011.

I'm SO in – how do I apply? 

A key part of your application will be your video. You have 60 seconds to share your awesomeness, and the reasons YOU would make a great spokesperson. We want to see your personality, point of view and your ideas on how you would connect with the 25-and-under crowd in southwestern Ontario. We also need to learn about your situation and see a sample blog post. Go here to find out the requirements and submit your application! 

When can I apply? 

As soon as possible! The deadline for your application is noon, May 11, and the time is going to FLY BY. Please read through all the requirements again to make sure you allow enough time to put together an amazing application package. We're inviting the public to get even more involved this time in helping us choose the next spokesperson. This will give early applicants a head start on getting the word out to their friends about their spokesperson submission – the sooner you apply the sooner you can start building a following.
