Mackenna: Londoner Article

Hoping to be the voice of a generation

Londoner Mackenna Roth is one of the finalists for the Young Free Ontario Contest

Mackenna Roth needs your vote.

The 22 year-old Londoner is hoping to be the spokesperson for the Libro Financial Group and United Communities Credit Union's Young Free Ontario contest.

If selected, the University of Western Ontario and Fanshawe College grad will be touring the province educating 17-25 year-olds about the Go Free Bundles that Libro has available for that age group.

"I have a strong background in media, and I have been a Libro client since 2007," Mackenna told Londoner.

"I have had a huge success with Libro, they have all been great and I couldn't be happier."

Well, winning the contest would definitely put a smile on her face as the swag for the successful contestant is $25,000 for the year, a MacBook Pro, iPhone, Canon HD video camera and the use of a vehicle for 12 months.

Mackenna is one of three finalists hoping to educate young people about the financial options available to them through the companies.

Online voting ends on Monday, and for Londoners to vote for Mackenna, they must log on to the website www.youngfreeontario.com, enter their name and email address and select one of three contestants.

The winner will be announced on Monday, June 20.

Look for more details on this story in Thursday's print edition of the Londoner.
