Carley's current situation:

Hello Ontario!

My name is Carley and I am 21 years old. In the fall I will be starting my third year at the University of Windsor in the Communications, Media and Filming program. My film was one of three 2nd year projects chosen for the University of Windsor Film Festival! I am also an in-home social worker for a child with Autism. We're practically family i've been working there so long! I also volunteer at the campus radio station CJAM 99.1 FM, often making appearances on the air, helping with promotion of the station on campus and recording public service announcements. Kickboxing is a newer found passion of mine that I have been training on for about 3 years now.

Following high school I was lucky enough to be able to have the chance to live in Brazil. Visiting somewhere and actually living there are two very different things. I learned to speak portuguese fluently and still am able to use it today. It was an amazing experience that taught me a lot about management and organization, not only of my money, but of my life! Becoming the Young & Free Spokesperson would give me a great opportunity to share theses experiences with those who need it.

Producing films and being behind the camera is a big passion of mine. But with the passion comes financial responsibility. How am I going to budget for the future? How will I stay on track with spending? All of these questions I can help you answer, because I myself have asked them too! I have so many reliable and helpful sources around me, and I can share them with you. I can be a voice for YOUR opinions and ideas on how to make things better, easier and more understandable.

Summer Savers - Students on a Budget - Windsor Edition

We all know that summer is a big relaxation period. Get out, have some fun, but most students are tight on cash, or saving for the coming year! I know MY eyes bulge out at the mention of a free event! Here are some awesome ideas around Windsor that wont burst your financial bubble.....!

@ Art Gallery Of Windsor FREE Wednesday Admissions

The AGW is a great place to spend the afternoon, expecially if it is too sweltering to enjoy the outdoors. Stroll through the galleries and enjoy fine art while keeping cool. On Wednesdays the AGW is open from 11am until 3pm with FREE admissions! http://www.artgalleryofwindsor.com/event/150

@Picnic by the beach

Summer should smell like the ocean, so why not gather up some good friends, a towel and sunscreen and head on out to the beach for a relaxing day of sun soakage?

@Campus Radio Tour

Looking for something a little different to fill your time? Why not come down to the University of Windsor campus and check out the CJAM 99.1 FM radio hideaway? If you call ahead they can hook you up with a station tour. CJAM is a non-profit organization that anyone can join! They are always looking for new volunteers. If you're looking for something to get involved in, this is it! Being on a air is not a necessity either, they need tons of behind the scenes people too! Its fun and all the training and touring is free Free FREE! www.cjam.ca

@Downtown Farmers Market

If you don't mind rising to an early occasion you should check out the Windsor Downtown Farmers Market. All vendors are local and organic! The market is located at the old Geryhound station in the downtown area. Ride your bike, or bring a pet! Not only do they have food products but other vendors have jewellery, natural soaps and body washes and a plethora of other great stuff! Come visit from 8am until 1pm. It's free to look around and socialize with the early birds of the town! http://downtownfarmersmarket.ca/

@ Broken City Labs Events

It is hard to describe the work of Broken City Labs. Their slogan is "Making things happen" They engage the city, they make people think! You like thinking right? They sprout conversations about how to make the city a better place and why we all should love the place we live in. They are always having events, discussions and thinking freely. Get together with these creative minds to get the juices flowing and perhaps pump out something of your own. Check out their website to see what is going on next and join in! www.brokencitylab.org

Ta da! Suggestions for the masses! Delectable ways to spice up the day or nighttime. Summer should be blissful, not stressful!

I've also set up a tumblr blog for this application. Feel feee to visit at
