Hello there!

I’m Kelsey Boka, I am 17, and I live in Cottam, Ontario.

I have recently graduated high school and plan to attend The Canadian College of Medical Science and Technology in September for Massage and Hydro Therapy.

Throughout my community I am well known as a very happy, talkative, and smiley person. I love to socialize and meet new people. Seeing new places are also one of the other things I enjoy doing.

I am single handily paying for my education, and trust me it is NOT cheap! With school soon approaching in the fall, I have now come to realization on how much I need to save! But one problem comes to mind.... HOW! Of course my parents have always told me to save my money, but the real problem was that I didn’t know how to! I had no clue how to open a savings account! I didn’t even know that you could schedule an appointment to see what accounts suit your income and needs! Wow did my eyes ever open wide! Rise and shine Kelsey Jo, it’s time to wake up!

And then it hit me! I could stop this vicious circle from happening! I could teach people of my generation how to do the things that I never knew how to! I would remove the words “I dunno” infront of savings  and bank accounts into “ I know that”! I would put an end to the lack of banking knowledge to my age group! I would prevent what happen to me and my bank account, to happen to anyone else.
So Vote for me and I will spread the word on banking. I will educate our generation on financing, savings and how to be thrifty. After all, don’t we all love a good sale!  So let’s put an end to penniless bank accounts and provide a voice that will be heard over the rest!
