Hey there everyone!!

My name is Chelsea, and I have just finished my first year of University. I sign up for my second year classes tomorrow which is really exciting.  For the summer I'm working at a local daycamp which I've worked at for the past 2 years. I'm really excited for school to start up again. university is amazing! I love the independence and freedom.

What is freedom?

Well, that’s a complicated question. Freedom doesn’t really have a single definition. For people or animals in captivity, it could mean being let out from behind their bars. For young adults or teenagers it could be not having a curfew, or not having to answer to their parents.

There are many different kinds of freedom.

There is freedom from your work, like going home on a Friday after a long week of school and not needing to do anything.

There is freedom in the sense of political systems (i.e. Democracy = Free People) and there is financial freedom.

What is financial freedom exactly?

Well, it could be not depending on your parents or family members, and only using your own money to buy things. Many people are financially free in this way.

There’s a new way to be financially free however, and it’s being offered to us by Libro, and the United Communities Credit Union.
