Chalaine's current situation:

At the moment I am working a summer day camp for the city of Windsor. This is my 4th summer doing day camp! Gotta love those kiddies! In September I will be going back to the University of Windsor to take my last three classes and finish up my degrees in drama and communication studies. Then I will finally be free! ... or so I think :)

Chalaine's blog post:

First off I am going to tell you a little story...

There once was a girl who was just starting her 4 year program at university. She needed money, but couldn’t seem to find some anywhere! Her only option seemed to be getting a line of credit. Unfortunately they only gave her enough for about 1 semester. How was she supposed to get through 4 years!? The girl buckled down and spent her money very carefully over the next few years. Often times she could not go out with friends or had to miss fun events because she just couldn’t afford it! It was frustrating for the girl, but she knew that school was important. In her third year of university the girl wanted to try something new. She wanted to go on exchange! She knew she was going to need more money so she applied for an increase to her line. She was very happy to find out that they were going to give her one! It wasn’t huge but it was enough to get her to England! Unfortunately English Pounds are worth DOUBLE the Canadian Dollar, so the girl had to watch her spending habits. Not like she wasn't used to that anyway! When the girl started running out of money she asked for another small lone, but she was refused. She had to ration her food for close to a month! She felt like a pirate, or Tom Hanks from Castaway!

This is a sad but true story. Don’t be too sad though because the girl had the time of her life and would do it all over again if she could.

The girl was young, but she was not free. Let this be a lesson to those students searching for loans. You need to look at all your options!

I feel that Libro Financial Group and United Communities Credit Union’s “Go Free Bundle” is amazing for students. It’s like a gift! And I would love to give it out to people! Let’s all be free!
